Worried that your notebook's Li-ion battery is not that safe, that it could explode any second because it contains flamable dimethyl carbonate? Worry no more, this August ZPower (a California battery maker) will begin shipping a safer alternative to Li-ion, the Silver-zinc notebook batteries. Silver-zinc batteries are water-based and offer 40% more runtime than your flamable lithuin-ion batteries. Zpower's Silver-zinc is also green, it is 95% recyclable and reusable. There are also plans about making the batteries available to mobile devices in the near future.
