I don't know if it was a stunt pulled by ESPN webmasters or someone who just did not have anything to do and found it amusing to have fun with the ESPN webpage. A few hours back, the ESPN website suddenly got the ability to display magical figures (like the ones in the screen shot) when one applies the Konami code on the ESPN homepage.
But don't hurry now to the ESPN website because the ESPN guys have removed their page's ability to show you magical unicorns when you pull the Konami code on it.
