In the next couple of days there would be some little major changes in this blog. First it will have a new look, I am on the process of making a new header (actually its already done, i am just thinking about making another header so that I would have another choice. Aside from the new header the template would also change. Another major change is the move to a new domain name. I have just finished purchasing a domain for this blog so in a day or two this blog will become http://technotechniques.com

That will be a great move Kuya Pasti, makikikuya na ako hehehe,... seriously, having your own domain will give you more opps in ppp kasi madaming opps ayaw ng blogspot...
October 2, 2008 at 4:23 AMI think I did it this time, can you please take a last glance if back to normal na yung page ko...
salamat!
Your page is now okay but the last video has the wrong length, change its lenght to 252. After that everything's okay na :)
October 2, 2008 at 5:18 AMwow! good move :-)
October 2, 2008 at 8:58 AMI think its possible to have a gif header, am I right?
parang ialternate mo yung mgaimages so that it looks like a slide show
that's what I am thinking as of now
best wishes sa new domain... and congrats!
Yes its possible to make a three or four frame gif animation as header but it could affect the loading time of the page because the header I made is quiet big, it would be like loading three or four times the size of what I have now. But anyway, I'll try it in some pages and see if it could load easily.
October 2, 2008 at 9:53 AMwow good luck :) do drop by once the change is complete so we can make adjustments to our links for your new site address :)
October 2, 2008 at 10:00 AMpano mo ni set-up? just like sa guide ng blogspot?
October 2, 2008 at 10:29 AMcongrats honey bunch!!! c: another blessing to you c: mwa! :p
October 2, 2008 at 2:26 PM@empty streets thanks for the visit and yes, I will visit your blog after the move, it would probably take two or three days for me to do it.
October 2, 2008 at 5:41 PM@Berry di ko pa na set-up, 24 hours kasi bago maging available yung domain after the registration, kagabi ko nabili so mamya gabi pa cguro ako mag setup. I will read muna to be sure, Gem's post is helpful and of course the instruction in Blogger. It is easy to do the move but what I am not really sure about is the stats and things like that, I want to preserve them as much as possible. And I would also like to know first the arrangement we do with PPP and SS, what if we have a some opps in line for approval and, I have many opps lining for approval eh. things like that. I would also read about entrecard, would it affect my entrecard. Maraming bagay ang titingnan ko. At sumabay pa talaga yung freelance job na nakuha ko, bakit ako pa kasi yung nanalo sa bid waaaaaaaah I need more than just 24 hours, dapat 48 ang isang araw para magawa natin lahat yung mga dapat nating gawin...
nag send na ako ng email sa ppp that i have changed my url. entrecard, just edit yung url sa settings. u don't need to wait for 24 noh! check mo na ngayon.
October 2, 2008 at 7:51 PMhindi ko nga alam paano mga links and rankings ko, sa akin is "bahala na"
Okay, I'm working on my widgets then pagkatapos. Yung set up na he he he Sinunod mo lang instruction sa Blogger?
October 2, 2008 at 7:54 PMThanks for finding my post useful. Good find that you see on 1 & 1... may email pa ata. Maybe I'll try to switch to them.
I had it setup with GoDaddy for only about 2 to 3 hours using "www" subhost. It would be a different thing if I use "blog.technotechniques.com"; it can really take 24 hours.
Regaining alexa stats is easier, don't sweat about it.
By the way, I'll hunt all the links in my blog posts later (after your domain switch) so that you get those precious backlinks. =)
Thanks a lot Gem, you are very supportive :) I read your post about jumping to a new domain and I find it really helpful.
October 2, 2008 at 8:06 PMAs to the set up, it is not exactly 24 hours, I can do it now but I am busy changing the look of my blog first he he he.

Oo nga, yung yahoo back links at indexed pages no back to zero.
October 3, 2008 at 4:14 PMhayyyy pero ok lang, i'm happy seeing my own domain on the URL text box on the browser :p
October 3, 2008 at 4:58 PMhe he he ako rin
October 3, 2008 at 10:33 PMBack to zero nga.. anyway just use 301 redirect for it.
@gem
October 4, 2008 at 7:59 AMi think i need to check your blog post regarding the domain thing... hindi ko nagegets yang 301 and 302 na yan

October 4, 2008 at 11:59 PMJust checked in... thanks.
I'll try making updates sa post ko with regards sa 301 and 302 clarifications. For now, marami na akong napuntahan na sites and they all point out to using the 301 thing when moving domains.
To put it simply,
301 - URL moved PERMANENTLY (website will not come back to the old URL)
302 - URL moved TEMPORARILY, this is also equivalent to META-REFRESH
As I've said in the post, I am not an expert on it; so I had pointed out strong reading resources instead of doing writing my own guide. One of them even managed to find me (Blog Bloke) because I had linked up to him.
I've searched around forums and blogs and even business websites. Puro 301 redirect ang recommended to retain search engine rankings.
Blog Bloke has the most detailed write up and explanation, that is why I linked up and recommended using it.
By the way, I've checked your Berry.net domain the other day, it uses 301 redirect from the old domain.
@Calvin i don't have IE6 so I checked it on IE7, talagang sira, di nga makita yung 3rd column, Sa Firefox okay naman. Baka magpalit na lang ako ng template. But i am busy right now, baka next week pa ako magpalit.
October 5, 2008 at 6:12 AM@Gem I'll read your post about 301 redirect again, I am not very savvy when it comes to these kind of things he he he
