PageRank is Google's way of deciding a page's importance. PageRank matters because it is one of the many factors that influence the determination of a page's rank in the search result. I somehow got into thinking about how Google sees p0rn sites, so I checked some of my, ah, favorite pages and here's the result. It is good to note that all of the sites I've checked are ranked, meaning, they are important as far as Google is concerned.

October 14, 2008 at 4:34 PMAbout the pagerank, those porn sites are not selling links and do paid posts, and they are not link farms either - so they gain pagerank. They probably do the other way around - buy links to pass page rank.
We, the poor bloggers, accept such opportunities to blog about it. They end up on our blogs which saps our page ranks away, :(
@Gem guys are visual creatures so girls like you say we are "hard-wired" to love p0rn. Girls are move susceptible to the written words because their imagination are quiet strong. This is also the reason why most girls close their eyes during sex while guys have their eyes wide open to see everything.
October 14, 2008 at 7:04 PMAnyway, as to p0rnsites ending up in our blogs: it doesn't matter to me, Google has nothing to "sap" from my n/a PR. As to linking to these sites, I did not link to them or mention their names here. But if Google is so good that it begins to read the words written in images in our posts, then that's another story. But they have yet to develop the software that can do it :)

@miah laborte I don't know how these sites get those PR, I used to maintain some blogs that "cover" the products of these p0rnsites but I abandoned them months ago. But look at those blogs i abandoned, they continue to get visitors and they got PR!!!

dati meron, pero ngayon ala na time for it, I abandoned it but i think one of the sites is still up and it got its PR in the latest Google PR update. Too time consuming yung process ng pag download ng mga video tapos upload ko ulit sa account ko sa RS. Eh ang lalaki nung files, tig 700 MB or more. dati masigasig ako sa mga ganyang bagay yung pag DL at upload ng files.
