Last January 23 I withdrew $170 from my Paypal to my bank account. That was my first time to use the "withdraw to bank account option" in Paypal because I was used to having the "withdraw to card" option. I thought the "withdraw to bank account" option would be quick but it proved to cause some headaches for me. After seven days of waiting I recieved an email from Paypal. Here is the sad message :
Dear Gumersindo Liston,
An electronic funds transfer from your PayPal account to your bank account was rejected today for this reason:
Invalid Bank Account Information
Our system was not able to process the transaction with the bank information listed on your account. You should contact your bank regarding the bank account information required for electronic funds transfers. If you still need assistance, you may email us through our secure server at https://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks for using PayPal, the world's #1 online payment service!
Sincerely,
PayPal
I immediately checked my Paypal and sure enough, the amount was back, but it was no longer $170, it became $157. I checked my Unionbank account online but I could no longer log in. It keeps saying "please enter a valid card number". It seems that my account has been locked. There is no way for me to ask for help because all the numbers listed in Unionbank's website sems to be "not yet in service". I was forced to get some time off from the office to visit my Unionbank branch. The guy there, who was kind enough to sincerely talk to me, just asked me to leave him my email address. He told me that he will email the head office about this matter and the head office will just email me. Wow that was a real cause for headache. I did not even notice that he forgot to ask for my phone number and my account number. Now I am waiting, waiting, and nursing a headache.

ARRRGGGHH!!!
February 1, 2009 at 12:06 AMI feel the pain. I would feel the same if I happen to be in the same situation!
What the f*** happening with Unionbank? Recession?
Recession... probably. Now I have around $300 in my Paypal. I'll keep it there and won't make any withdrawals until everything's clear. I'm looking for some alternative way of getting my Paypal money in, do you know of other means? I think Unionbank's eon cyber account is the best so far and other banks pale in comparison. But now that I am having some bad experiences with Eon, I guess I'll have another means of getting my money in.
February 1, 2009 at 12:12 AMAng bilis ng comment! Hehehe
February 1, 2009 at 12:20 AMYup it would be a better idea to keep the money muna.
Metrobank, try mo. There's also this pldtonline.com na mas mabilis daw kaysa sa EON - you need to have a smart money card nga lang.
I have applied for Smart Money card na but it will take three weeks daw for it to arrive. But it's okay, at least meron na alternative way of withdrawing money. Thanks for telling me about PLDT online, i'll check it out.
February 1, 2009 at 12:29 AMI also asked about means of connecting Paypal with smart money from the Smart money teller here in our place but she appeared to be ignorant about online banking and about Paypal.
gagawa ako ng business buying paypal money. dedeposit kayo money sa paypal ko tapos deposit ako sa acct niyo. hehehe.
February 1, 2009 at 5:02 AMMagaling yun na idea ah, gagawa rin ako nga ganung bizniz
February 1, 2009 at 5:08 AMI had this error please enter a valid card number" before
February 3, 2009 at 12:10 AMIt was after a few days I registered my UNIONBANK Eon card and trying to login
luckily, after three days ata nakapaglog-in ulit ako
try mo daw login ulit
but I think hirap ang system ng UNIONBANK last week because of heavy traffic kasi nagrelease sila ng dividend ng GSIS and many people had problems
anyway, sana maka withdraw ka na
sabagay, wag muna, marami ka pa namang pera... malay mo bababa pa ang value ng PEso, Lol
but that must have been a very frustrating situation

EON is such a pain. This same thing happenened to me, and it's already 2010!
June 18, 2010 at 6:13 PMAnyway, what did you do afterwards? I want to find out. Unionbank service is crap. Yun lang the customer service line is pretty okay now. Haay, naku. Kainis lang.
Yes, okay na yung customer service nila ngayon. I ended up getting a new Eon account, a fresh one, that's all the branch manager can advice me. But in fairness to the branch manager, napakagaling ng pagasikaso nya sa akin, ang problem lang kasi halos wala silang say doon sa Eon mismo.
